When it comes to fishing, having the right tools can
significantly increase your chances of nabbing the best and biggest catch you’ve
scored thus far. For starters, you should know what to include in your tackle
box.
Extra Line
Always have an extra length of fishing line or two,
just in case yours gets worn or snaps from the weight or the struggle of your
catch. Likewise, be sure to know what line is best used for the kind of
environment you’ll be fishing in, and the kind of swimmers you’ll be dealing
with. Keep this rule of thumb in mind: the rougher the waters, the sturdier the
line.
Quality Pliers
Always keep a needle-nose pliers handy for working
with those tackle hooks. While you might think that pliers are only useful for
removing hooks from the mouths of fish, it serves a variety of other purposes,
too, such as helping assemble baits or, in emergency cases, pulling hooks off your
own skin.
Sinkers and Bobbers
Sinkers keep light bait off the water surface and away
from most of your prey, whereas bobbers allow heavy bait to float without
sinking to the bottom of the drink. You should bring bobbers and sinkers of
varying weights that correspond well with your bait of choice.
